In order to be eligible for consideration, all students must submit their graduate application to UIC before February 15 of each year.

This newly installed fellowship supports four outstanding, incoming graduate students in all areas of chemistry for their first two years of study. All students who receive an offer of admission to the UIC Chemistry graduate program will be considered for this award. Students who have previously joined the UIC Chemistry graduate program are not eligible.

Eligible candidates will be reviewed by the Chemistry Graduate Admissions Committee and evaluated for academic excellence on the basis of post-secondary record, letters of recommendation, personal statement, standardized tests, and other criteria as deemed appropriate by the committee. Students who receive the Wonhwa Cho Graduate Fellowship for Chemistry will be awarded a total of $10,000.
