Clinical Associate Professor Avia Rosenhouse-Dantsker edited a volume of cholesterol research investigations in the Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology, Volume 1422, Springer Nature, Switzerland (2023).
Avia quoted that, “Although cholesterol and phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PI(4,5)P2) were initially presumed to serve solely as membrane components, these essential lipids have subsequently been shown to play versatile roles in multiple cellular processes.
