Siddiqui wins NSF GRFP!
Our own Sara Siddiqui, an undergraduate senior majoring in chemistry at UIC, has won an NSF GRFP award that supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported STEM disciplines who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees at accredited US institutions. The five-year fellowship includes three years of financial support including an annual stipend and a cost of education allowance. According to Sara, "In my time at UIC, I was fortunate enough to do some awesome chemistry with Prof. Justin Mohr in developing chiral auxiliaries for remote asymmetric induction, and plan to use these experiences to explore new synthetic organic methodology in grad school." Way to go Sara!
