Spencer Huynh wins Riddle Prize
Congratulations to 2023 Riddle Prize Winner Spencer Huynh! The Donald and Leah Riddle Prize is awarded each year at Commencement to an outstanding graduating senior. According to Spencer, “Biochemistry with Dr. Hatfield was a highlight of my time at UIC. Under Dr. Hatfield's guidance, I completed a literature review connecting my undergraduate neuroscience research experience with the basic biochemistry concepts I had learned in class. I find Dr. Hatfield's and UIC Department of Chemistry's personalized teaching approach to be particularly noteworthy, as it highlights their commitment to embracing the individual interests of students and illustrating the relevance of chemistry across diverse fields of study.”
